About Me

I am a certified Reiki Master Practitioner of the Usui/Tibetan system of Reiki. After a car accident that required nearly a year of physical therapy, I decided to take a beginning level Reiki class. I was curious to learn what Reiki is all about, and thought it might help with my physical and emotional healing. After taking a Level I class, I became fascinated with Reiki and went onto compete all levels of Reiki training.

The majority of my Reiki training has been in the Seattle area with Reiki Master Teachers Barbara Kay, Polly Klein, Lou Orsan, and Marianne Streich. I received Oncology Reiki Practitioner Certification with Reiki Master Teacher Kerri Draper in Santa Ana, CA. My Animal and Equine Reiki training has been in the San Francisco area with Reiki Master Teacher Kathleen Prasad.

​I was a member of the Reiki program at Seattle Children’s Hospital, where I provided Reiki sessions to physicians, nurses, administrators, parents, caregivers, and volunteers. While living in Las Vegas, I gave Reiki sessions to those affected by cancer at The Caring Place, an adult services program which provides no-cost programs and services to those who have or have had cancer, as well as their caregivers.

I currently offer in person Reiki sessions in the Orange County, CA area, and also offer remote Reiki sessions. I am a registered professional member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals (IARP), and I adhere to their Code of Ethics.

In addition to being a Reiki Master Practitioner, I tutor pre-school through 2nd grade level special needs and gifted students, some of whom are non-verbal or have limited speech at Armenta Learning Academy. I live with my husband Bill and my sweet black cat Sam. When I’m not working I enjoy being outdoors walking, going to the beach, wine tasting, taking flamenco dance classes, yoga, pilates, seeing performing arts concerts, live music concerts/festivals, watching movies, and reading. I volunteer on a local and regional level for Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, and I’m a founding board member of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dance Alumni Endowment Fund.
